Overview
An audiological evaluation gives you information about why you may have difficulty hearing in meetings, at happy hour, or while watching TV. It also provides the clarity to decipher whether medicine or surgery can improve your hearing, or if you would benefit most from a hearing aid.
What to Expect
Hearing evaluations are completed in a soundproof room using a variety of audiological equipment.
Testing usually takes 45 minutes to one hour to complete.
During your evaluation, our audiologists determine your hearing level, the status of your middle ear, and the effect your hearing may have on your ability to understand speech.
The results of your testing will guide the recommendations of our audiologists to determine your need for further treatment.
Testing is typically covered by insurance, including Medicare, but we recommend you reach out to your insurance prior to your appointment to confirm coverage. Out of pocket costs are $180.00.
