Our Team

Sandra Ellis | Au.D., F-AAA

I started Seattle Hearing and Balance in 1991 so I could spend the amount of time needed with each patient to fully address their hearing and balance problems.

I received my BS and Masters Degree from the University of Washington and my Doctorate from the A.T. Still School of Health Sciences. I’m a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA)  and a huge supporter of continuing education. I also mentor interns from local universities;  I love the energy they add to the office and the cutting-edge knowledge they have to share.

Why did I choose Audiology? Communication is what ties people together and hearing is fundamentally important to all activities.  Also– the psychoacoustics and physics of sound are fascinating and the balance mechanism in the inner ear is amazing!

Over the years I’ve totally enjoyed serving the Seattle community from Capitol Hill.  My patients are great– seeing a long-term patient is a sincere treat!

Satara C. Setzer | Au.D., F-AAA

I completed my undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of Nevada, Reno and completed my doctoral studies at Pacific University outside of Portland, Oregon. While completing my doctoral studies, I was trained under Dr. Mike Mallahan, Dr. Sandra Ellis and Dr. Gregory Moore.

The longstanding relationships my preceptors had with their patients is what drew me to audiology. My audiology interests include balance disorders and hearing aids. I am passionate about whole patient care and my treatments focus on the body being a unique system of interconnected parts.

When I am not behind the audiometer, I enjoy crate digging for vinyl records to add to my collection, finding new flavors at local ice cream shops, and going on walks to admire Seattle’s unique architecture.

Riley Flanagan | Patient Care Coordinator

I joined the Seattle Hearing and Balance team in June of 2023 after completing my undergraduate degree at Seattle University. Although I’m new around the office, I still hope to make a meaningful impact on each patient who checks in with me.

When I’m not at my desk, I can be found reading books, exploring Seattle’s cuisines, and hanging out with my cat.

Olivia Harris, HIS | Hearing Instrument Specialist & Office Manager

I moved to Seattle from New Mexico in 2021 and became the new eyes and (especially) ears of the office. Over time, I developed a keen interest in audiology and hearing aids while overseeing patients with Dr. Setzer. This is what led me to become a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist, which allows me to pursue my passion further and continue building relationships with patients.

Savana Fletcher | Billing Manager

I graduated from Texas A&M and previously worked as a veterinarian technician. When I realized it wasn’t the field for me, I started working as the Office Manager at Seattle Hearing and Balance in 2018. Soon after, I transferred over to billing and became the office’s Billing Manager.
